Welcome to Pack 678!

Welcome to the website for Cub Scout Pack 678 of South Burlington, VT!

Cub Scouts is the first step in the U.S. Scouting program, which progresses to Scouts BSA and Venturing. All of these programs share one mission:

The mission of the Boy Scouts of America is to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Law.

Scout Oath

On my honor I will do my best, To do my duty to God and my country, and to obey the Scout Law;

To help other people at all times;To keep myself physically strong, mentally awake, and morally straight.

Scout Law

A Scout is Trustworthy, Loyal, Helpful, Friendly, Courteous, Kind, Obedient, Cheerful, Thrifty, Brave, Clean, and Reverent

Our pack is run by volunteers who seek to achieve this mission using the Aims and Methods of Cub Scouting:

Cub Scout Pack 678 serves the community of South Burlington and surrounding towns.
It is chartered by the Rotary Club of South Burlington.
Our scouts hail from Burlington, Colchester, Essex, Hinesburg, Shelburne, Williston, and South Burlington.

Pack 678 2023 Pinewood Info here: https://www.pack678vt.org/node/1692

There are multiple days that volunteers are needed to make this event happen.  https://www.signupgenius.com/go/30E0948AEA72AA6FD0-pinewood1

These events (as with all scouting events) cannot happen without the many hours of planning, set-up, operation, and break-down of each event. You do not need to be a leader to volunteer and help out and there are a number of tasks available to help with! **Note** - No scouts can be present during set-up on Saturday morning 2/11. If you have difficulty finding assistance to watch your scout while you are volunteering with set-up, please let us know ahead of time so that we can try and help with arrangements.

Commitee members needed

Posted on Oct 3 2022 - 7:44am

Would you like to join our Pack Committee and help plan events? We are looking for new members to join our committee. The Pack Committee handles administrative and support tasks, which allows the Cubmaster, den leaders, and their assistants to focus on working directly with the Cub Scouts. We have monthly meetings (currently on zoom) and there is some required online training. Please consider joining our committee by emailing pack678vt@gmail.com. This is a great opportunity for you to join our leadership team and make a difference in our pack. Several committee members and den leaders will be moving on in the next 18months, so joining us now will allow time for you to learn the inner workings of our pack and eventually transition into the positions that will be vacant.
